We enjoyed our stay at the Port Royal! The property is very well laid out and there are some nice amenities. They have one of the nicest pools in Wildwood. It goes up to 9 feet in the deep end. There is also a kiddie wading pool. Right next to the hotel is a large park with a kids splash pad area and workout trail. The room was clean and organized. All rooms have a balcony large enough for 3-4 people to sit outside. There is a full-service restaurant on the premises that serves all meals. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Honestly the most disappointing experience I could have asked for. We booked this hotel months ago for two nights, and right after booking they called us to say we would have to switch rooms on the second day because they are double booked. ????? Who runs a hotel like this? It’s inconvenient but I decided I ultimately wanted to be at the beach that weekend and it would be ok. Fast forward to the day before our stay, and there’s terrible air quality from the fires happening in Canada. I asked them if we could simply change the weekend of our stay because I’m 22 weeks pregnant and have asthma and this is a health concern for me, they said no and we would lose our $520 deposit. We could only make a change if someone was actually in the hospital. I tried to reason with them and explain how we wouldn’t have known in advance of this air quality issue that is literally unsafe for me, unless I expect to be inside the hotel the entire time. They did not care and just kept reciting what their cancellation policy is and how there are no exceptions. No human compassion or understanding whatsoever. I understand everyone has a cancellation policy. I don’t understand how companies and people still have complete disregard for women who are pregnant and how their needs and safety is different than others. It’s ABSURD for them to tell me there is not exception unless I’m in the hospital. So my options are to lose the deposit or go stay with them and put my health at risk. For reference, their cancellation policy in order to get a full refund is to cancel 15 days ahead of time. 15 days will never account for last minute weather issues that put your health at risk, so you will always be SOL if this happens to you. I don’t know what 2 brain cells came up with such a rigid cancellation policy where there are no health/medical exceptions and I truly hope to never come across the person with those 2 brain cells. In any case, we’ve opted to cancel our stay and lose our $550 deposit, since other than the terrible air quality, I can’t speak to what I would actually do or say if I stepped foot in this ridiculous POS establishment. Beware and good luck.

As always the best place to stay in Wildwood Crest for our family! Clean, beautiful, staff always so friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect, between two parks and a short walk to bike rentals. The beach across the street and beautiful pools. Also excellent lounges and cabanas by the pool with also tables outside to bring your food to eat poolside. The game room is spotless and so much fun! The restaurant is excellent. Same staff every year which speaks for itself. The food is delicious, never ever disappoints and the quality is so consistent. Our family can’t wait to come back every summer!

We’ve been coming since the 80s, however it’s unfortunate how so much has changed. A lot of the staff is very rude and have attitudes. It never used to be like that. The manager is rude and doesn’t acknowledge guests. Additionally the front desk staff are lazy and have an attitude. Heaven forbid you ask them a question they are so annoyed and if you have a concern they’re annoyed. Many of the staff are staring and talking in Spanish and it’s obvious they’re talking bad about guests. We pay a lot of money to come and we keep to ourselves and don’t bother anyone. We do not deserve to be treated badly. Also, the fire pit was broke during our entire stay and there was no urgency to repair it. It’s frustrating cause it’s something we enjoy.

Pool is filthy. Not skimmed throughout the day and sections of lotion and debris. Parents not supervising their hyper kids. Also no one on site monitoring it. People come to relax not to be pushed splashed and shoved by kids. Person who checked us in told us nothing and we’ve been here several times prior. He barely spoke. Also no mattress covers on the beds.

Our server, Mackenzie Clayton was absolutely phenomenal! Her service was so good, we will absolutely be back. It felt like we were being served in our own home, we could feel the love radiating off this sweet girl! Ask for Mackenzie when you come!

currently staying here we have no heat no hot water broken phone broken tvs… response was we’re not in season yet yet i paid $450 from two nights. my kids were freezing and a maintenance guy had been here for over an hour now. for the price of this place they don’t operate great. so i’ll be asking for a refund and a new room

We stopped here on a whim and ended up staying for 2 nights. Great location to the ocean and boardwalk, a short walk to every thing but far enough to escape the crowds. Staff was super friendly, the establishment was clean and bright. The pool area looks great and fun(it was too windy for me to use) but definitely very inviting.

The Port Royal is a great hotel. Me and my family have been going to this hotel the past 15 summers and it never disappoints. Amazing Service, the restaurant has very good food, room are very clean and nice, the pool is nice, everything about this hotel is perfect for a wildwood stay. Since it’s like a 10 minute walk from the boardwalk. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the 2026 season. My favorite place to stay ??

Insane hotel, beautiful rooms, nice elevator. The lobby big and spacious, plenty of chairs and tables to sit and chat with Game room, living room with TV and board games. The pool is pretty big and has a big deck as well. Friendly staff. Try it out and let me know.
