Sunshine Motel receives a mixed bag of reviews, with recent guests praising the friendly staff and clean rooms, particularly highlighting the convenient location near the boardwalk and beach. However, older reviews cite serious cleanliness issues, water damage, and concerning parking experiences, suggesting significant inconsistencies in the property’s upkeep and management.
My fiancé and I stayed here, we needed a vacation and picked this motel because trivago had a good deal. We thought it’s just a place to sleep why not. WRONG! The room we stayed in was amazing. The staff was extremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating upon arrival till check out. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. Very close to the boardwalk and entrance to the beach itself. The pool was a great feature! We will definitely be coming back next year!
This was a birthday getaway gifted by loved one. The hotel room was digusting - dirty begging, thick stacks of dust everywhere, ants, etc. The staff gave my family eye to eye contact while stating that "everything is clean, the stains are just permanent". Stay far away from this place. Even the hotel office/front desk area is dirty, cluttered, and disgusting. Don't believe photos, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT DIDN'T KNOW A MOTEL COULD OPERATE IN A TOURIST TOWN LIKE THIS.
It was a place to stay for the night.. or so I thought. Around 12am i am getting ready to get to sleep, exhausted from the boardwalk, when I hear a loud POP and water ??? My man opens the bathroom door and we see water spraying out the side of the toilet, the room is inches in water in literally 2 minutes, we packed up and rushed out. The owners were cleaning and tried to have us still sleep there hahahaha, then they promised us a full refund but obviously since we booked through booking.com they had to ask the property, and got to only give me half percentage cause the opportunity to screw me showed itself?? ridiculous.
The room definitely needed some updating and renovations. A smart TV would have been nice. This would not keep me from staying there again. The location was perfect, and the staff was pleasant. I enjoyed the stay.
We had a great time in Wildwood! The staff here was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The pool was inviting and relaxing. The hotel’s location is perfect- close to the beach and convention center; within walking distance to restaurants and stores. We would stay here again.
This hotel towed my car! ??????????NB???? I just live bet to it didn’t even notice! my husband parked the car right up against the wall of a hotel. The next morning, when we were about to head home, we found the car was gone—and there was another vehicle in my parking spot. After walking around the parking lot, we realized that even though I had parked next to the hotel wall, that area actually belonged to another hotel. My car had been towed, and I was fined $350, which had to be paid in cash. The ATM downstairs wasn’t working, so I had to walk three blocks to a Wawa to get cash. Then, taking a taxi to retrieve the car cost another $40. The whole vacation mood was completely ruined. I find it unbelievable—my car had the hotel’s parking tag on it, so couldn’t they have just contacted us? Did they really have to tow it away? It’s so heartless. Nobody’s money grows on trees. But if the towing company happens to be owned by you, then I guess that would explain it—or maybe you’re getting a kickback. Either way, everyone, be careful where you park.
This motel was horrible. It needs major renovation, I am sorry because the young man, who mostly dealt with is amazing. But I would not ever stay here again, and the price is not adequate for the facilities. Bathroom way too small, no room for anything. No hair dryer, no hanger, no iron, no anything. Not enough towels, and they are skimpy. Very noisy area. I saddens me to have to write this review. But it is what it is. Not a good option
Perfect for a one night stay when all you need is a bed and a bathroom. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We brought our 2 kids 3 and 8 and they were really nice to them. They even covered their pool floaties with the tarp at night so they wouldn't blow away. We also got there 4 hours before check in and they were nice enough to let us park there until our room was ready. The rooms are very dated. If they just updated the bedding and provided a bath mat, it would improve the quality. But for the price you're paying, dont expect a 5 star luxury experience.
Came here for the first time this week and can say it’s genuinely amazing. Great staff for me and my friends extremely nice and professional, definitely gonna come back. Also the house keeping working Jay was the best extremely helpful amazing manners and honesty the best House Keeper i’ve ever had 11/10 service from her and 10/10 from the hotel definitely a place to come with friends or kids and have some fun!
We came down as a couple. Room was nice for the price cleaned and staff was wonderful we asked and we received. Bed was comfortable and sand free would stay here again
