The Daytona Inn and Suites receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its central location and clean rooms, while others report issues with excessive noise from nearby guests, uncomfortable beds, and inconsistent service. Recent concerns include a refund dispute, difficulties with communication, and problems related to property management and lost items.
Paid for 2 night stay a good amount of days before weekend at Daytona Inn & Suites would've been my 1st time stay back in September 2025. A couple days before our planned stay I was diagnosed with covid, could not cancel or reschedule for another time. Told the only thing they could do was refund me one night stay. Still waiting for refund??? It's now October 14th 2025. Now what do I do????
Zero Stars – Avoid This Place Absolutely terrible experience with the Daytona Inn. My daughter left her AirPods behind, and the staff confirmed they had been found and were at the front desk. Since we live two hours away, I asked if we could pay to have them mailed back. After that, every attempt to contact them was ignored for over two weeks. When I finally got through, the manager, Sherry, told me the AirPods had been given to the owner, John Donio, to mail out weeks earlier. Since then, I’ve sent multiple follow-up emails and once again have been completely ghosted. This is either a case of dishonesty or outright theft by the owner. Either way, it’s disgraceful customer service. If this is how they handle something as simple as returning lost property, I can’t imagine how they treat guests during a stay. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. Update (9/19): My daughter’s AirPods were finally returned, and for that I do want to say thank you. That said, the process was extremely frustrating. There was no communication, and the items only came back after I tracked down the owner on social media. Even then, there was no response. I appreciate that the AirPods were ultimately returned, but it’s a shame it took so long and so much effort on my part. I genuinely wish the Daytona Inn well, but I hope they improve their customer service going forward.
We have stayed at Daytona for the last 3-4years. Always in the same room and it's been a great place. That was not the case this year. Most of the motel was occupied by bikers. Bikers in general are no problem and these ones seemed like nice people. The problem is they were loud and they congregated just down from our room. Most nights some of them were outside, laughing and being loud until after midnight. One of them had a large dog that barked a lot. Most of them smoked or vaped, where they were sitting in the walkway. The motel has a strict policy of quiet time after 10pm. This sign was on the wall between their rooms. There is also a sign, opposite where they sat, specifying the designated smoking area in the back parking lot. Management knew about their behavior and allowed it. This has never been allowed to anyone else any other time we were there. We paid a lot of money to stay there for 5 days. I realize all the bikers also paid a lot and as a group they represented big business to the motel. It sounded like they are a yearly regular. This should NOT give them special privileges and allow them to break the rules while Management turns a blind eye. If that's the case, then Management should close the motel to anyone else or give a discounted rate and notice of the conditions to others. This is totally unacceptable behavior from the management. It is also very bad business practice as people will not want to stay there. It is very unfair to other unknowing, paying, customers. The rules should be the same for everyone.
This place is great. Shirley and Loraine are wonderful. We were greeted by Shirley upon check in. So friendly. We had the do not disturb up for one of our three nights here. I came back to a bag of towels hung on the door. Pool VERY clean. Ice machine is great. Rooms are updated. Not one complaint
Good location, close to boardwalk and dollar store for anything you forgot. Room was clean when we got there, didn’t use room service during our stay but they provided us with new towels every day, and anything else we asked for was provided. I was told there would be an AARP discount, but when I got there and asked about it I was told they cannot do it since I finished my reservation online before I got there, that was 50 dollars I lost. I wasn’t to happy about that but was told repeatedly there was nothing that could be done. Overall the stay was good, I do recommend staying on the second floor. I stayed on the first floor and the people on the second floor moved furniture around and made noise all day and night
What a phenomenal find. Amazing place to stay, centrally located, very clean and kind attentive staff. Pool very clean and well maintained. There are cameras which are great for safety and security. We had parents joining us for 2 nights and had requested this in advance, nothing was too much trouble and the staff made sure they were welcomed while we were at Jeep Invasion. With wanting to visit again, we spoke with desk staff who showed us alternative options, again nothing was too much trouble. If you have a choice, choose this.
We enjoyed our stay at Daytona Inn & Suites. We rented the 2 bedroom apt. The suite was cute, the bedrooms were decent enough size. We loved that the kitchen was a full kitchens with utensils. We LOVED the close 1-2 block walk to the boardwalk, and we adored the shared outdoor spaces. They decorated so beautifully by the pool areas, the cornhole games, and the lounge seating. It really was very welcoming. Some cons were, I had trouble getting through to the front desk before my trip when I had a couple Questions, I always got a voicemail and they’d never call back. The AC units kept our rooms cold but were SUPER loud and the bedroom AC unit was blowing very musty air into our room. Also, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and creaky. They would sink right into the middle, the moment you got in it and so you’d just roll onto your partner no matter how you lay! Lol Over all, we really had a great time! We’d stay here again I just wish they’d at least fix the mattresses and AC units.
We stayed here two times. The first time was in 2019 and we loved it. Our room was always spotless and the cleaning lady we had went above and beyond every day. The space was perfect and plenty of room. We stayed again a few years later, and upon entering our room was filthy. The floors had mopped dirt streaks and our bathroom had menstrual blood on the wall. The small couch was stained so we had to put our own blankets on it and I refused to let them sleep on it. The bedroom smelled of mildew to the point that when we got home, I had to wash even the clean clothes we had and our bags because the smell wouldn't leave. The AC was only in the bedroom so it had to be left on to keep entire apartment cool. The cleaning people used dirty water to mop our floors because I watched them from the pool. The beds were never changed so we slept with sand every night. We felt so filthy in the evening that we hated to even sit there. We were so disappointed as we loved our first stay, but after this last time we won't be back.
The hotel was wonderful. Just a block away from the boardwalk, and you get a pretty good view of downtown Wildwood throughout the day. It's only about a 5-10 minute walk to everything. The rooms were clean and beautiful for the price, and the amenities added to the experience. I would 100% stay here again.
Rooms are very clean, recently updated, and cleaned on a daily basis. We have stayed here multiple times and haven't had any problems with the rooms or staff. Is within walking distance to the boardwalk and ocean.
