Stayed at Isle of Palms for a little mini vacation and we were very pleased. I was a bit nervous looking at the reviews so i was genuinely shocked when we walked it. The staff was extremely nice, the rooms are old but clean and spacious. I love that there is no carpet. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms had everything we'd need for a comfortable stay. It's not the hilton but a good sized room a block away from the beach for the price they charge.... You can't beat it. Don't let the bad reviews sway you.

**Extremely disappointing — I wish I had read the TripAdvisor reviews before booking.** I really wish I had taken the time to read the TripAdvisor reviews before booking this hotel, because I never would have stayed there. Unfortunately, I can confirm what so many other guests have said. The hotel is **poorly maintained and, most importantly, extremely dirty**. The housekeeping is simply unacceptable. The light switches were covered in dirty fingerprints, and the kitchen cabinets looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks, months, or possibly even longer. When I arrived, I ended up cleaning and disinfecting the entire place myself because I simply did not feel comfortable staying there as it was. The bathroom was dirty, the floors were dirty — everything needed to be cleaned. Later during my stay, I saw how the housekeeping staff cleans the rooms, and it explained a lot. They didn’t even appear to have a proper mop or adequate cleaning equipment. I saw them using a broom with a towel wrapped around it to clean the floor, and that was basically it. In the bedroom, I found **fake fingernails on the floor, earrings, hair, sand, and more**. Clearly, the room had not been properly cleaned between guests. The so-called kitchen utensils were another story. There were about four forks, one dirty knife, a ladle, and a spatula — some of them still had dried food stuck to them — simply put back into the drawer like that. There was no dish towel to dry dishes, no dish soap, no dispenser. The furniture was also **very outdated and worn**, which only added to the overall feeling that this property is not being properly maintained. I understand that you sometimes get what you pay for, and I was looking for an affordable place to stay. However, while I was in Wildwood, I visited and saw several other hotels in the **same price range** that were much cleaner, better maintained, and far more updated. So price is really not an excuse for this level of cleanliness. Overall, this was **extremely disappointing**, and I will absolutely never stay here again. I sincerely hope people take the time to read the reviews before booking so they know what to expect and don’t make the same mistake I did. Please see the attached photo. This was the hotel’s storage closet, where we personally saw the housekeeping staff going to get clean towels and bed linens for newly arriving guests. To be clear, what you see in this photo is not dirty laundry waiting to be washed — this is where the supposedly clean towels and linens that were being put on guests’ beds were stored. I think the photo speaks for itself.

The rooms are basic but efficient use of space. They are not the cleanest but I would not call it dirty if you get my meaning? It's all in the details. The staff was great. Any issues were addressed immediately. The pool was a decent size and kept clean. Great location for those going to the boardwalk. Just a few minutes walk.

I typically don’t do reviews but I feel the need to here. If you have any standards or expectations on cleanliness- do NOT stay at this hotel. The bathroom was filthy, we were given dirty towels, the mirrors and bathroom sink were not clean. The floor left a black film of dirt on the bottom of your feet. The walls are stained with dirt, nicks, etc. outlets in bedroom did not work. I could go on. The Only plus was a good location and decent size 2 room Suite. But the fact I wanted to run home to shower after the stay means we won’t plan to return.

Location is fabulous .its about 2 blocks from boardwalk . kinda in the middle of whole boardwalk which was great . We booked an efficiency room . Very large in size 3 queen size beds that were comfy and a back balcony which was nice . I can make breakfast and lunch there . Full size refridge pool was nice they had 2 bbqs so we brought hotdogs and hamburgers . We were on the first floor Tg cuz we both are seniors . we took our daughter and two grandkids . Room was clean enough . It’s not a five star but for us we are ok with it . Only thing That stinks is there wasn’t anything to cook with .so my hubby asked at the front desk and they provided a fry pan . Moving forward , I will bring a pot and pan and cooking utensils . I’m sure they had , but people take things that’s not theirs . very sad . They had coffee pot that worked great. we just bought coffee filters and left them For next guests . Someone actually stole a load of towels and desk mgr was able to Locate towels from somewhere else for their guests . We will certainly be booking again for July 2027

Front desk wasn't very friendly, I paid through booking com but I was still charged a extra 21$ at the desk. Asked for credit cards. I told him that it be declined since I already paid he still insist on me using a credit card. Finally he said that they can take cash. Otherwise wise it was a decent size room, beds are big and comfortable. Location is great but the Ffoors need some work, not very clean.

Shame on the owners of this place. Absolutely disgusting that you would book out your property to obvious underage high school kids for prom weekend. The blatant disgusting and downright dangerous behavior that our family witnessed every night at your property is downright reckless. After seeing what was coming in and out of the rooms around the clock, chugging vodka, urinating off balconies was unreal. I believe they basically sold out to a high school for their prom weekend. Shame on you people

The best thing about this motel was its location and proximity to the boardwalk. The room itself was spacious, and the king-size beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. The floors were filthy, there was hair in the shower, and the bed sheets did not appear to be freshly cleaned. For any guest, especially one paying for a comfortable stay, basic cleanliness should be a priority. What disappointed me even more was management’s response. When I brought the condition of the room to their attention, there was no apology or concern expressed. The only response I received was, “I’ll let the girls know.” A simple apology and an effort to address the issue would have gone a long way. Overall, while the location was excellent, the lack of cleanliness and poor customer service left me very disappointed.

Don’t bother with this place. The room had several issues, including a broken, flickering lamp and missing blinds in both windows. At check-in, there were no bath towels or washcloths, and when asked, the rude front desk clerk—who spoke with a heavy accent—told us he was too busy to provide any and that we would have to come back later without giving a timeframe. The hand towels we did receive had ants on them, and the second bedroom, which had two beds, had no working outlets. The bathroom sink only had scalding hot water, while the kitchenette sink never got warm at all. To make matters worse, there was only one remote provided for two televisions.

If I could give ZERO stars I would! We checked in early which was a nice surprise, but BUYER BEWARE!!!! I didn’t want to believe the reviews I read about this place. Now I wish I had. Trying to have a nice weekend get away turned into a nightmare. Our toilet clogged in the middle of the night. Had to drive to WaWa to use a restroom. I finally got a hold of the front desk. I was given a plunger. We have to plunge it nearly every time it’s used. Go back to front desk to complain. I was told we used too much toilet paper. Toilet paper which is barely single ply tissue. Someone comes to the room to check it out. Toilet not clogged. Guy says nothing is wrong and walks out. I also complained about the so called Queen bed not having a base that fits the entire mattress. I’m told that the bed is okay, it fit two people, nothing wrong with bed. Pictures added for reference. I asked for money back. I was told I can have money back but I leave now. Fantastic hospitality right there! Why be in the hospitality business if you don’t take accountability for the issues with your property?! You clearly don’t care about your guests experience or repeat business. Stay here at your own risk! We surely won’t ever stay here again!
