The Quarterdeck Motel receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with recurring issues of uncleanliness, disrepair, and concerning infestations. While some guests appreciate the location and pool, the pervasive problems with mold, pests, and outdated facilities significantly detract from the guest experience. The motel’s pricing appears inconsistent with the quality provided.
I wish I could rate it 5 stars. But our stay wasn’t the quite best. I mean the price we paid I understand because there is way more expensive hotels out there. But I was very upset at one instance. I have very little kids. 4 & 2 to be exact. We stayed there almost a week an all the while we were there we had several issues. We had our two littles ones towels stolen, when they hung on the railing by our room. At one point the microwave was overheating and just not working properly. You would heat something up and then if it overheat it would like just beep uncontrollably or the key pad wouldn’t work. There was teenagers dumping ice from the ice machine into the hot tub. & a few times housekeeping hadn’t even changed trash. Otherwise it was a nice & relaxing stay.
It really needs updating. The customer service was great. But owners need to get out of their homes and come update the motel. Refrigerator are old, molding, not working. Dresser are falling apart, stained and nasty. Pool area was kept cleaned. The staff there worked hard.
This motel is exactly what you’d expect for an older place, cheap bedding, tile floor(dirty), curtains that don’t close all of the way, poor water pressure. The good thing about this place is the pool and the proximity to the boardwalk. If you want location and a cheap place to sleep, stay here. If you want quiet, do not. The walls are thin and people are not quiet. I had to make sure the ac ran all night to act as white noise or bring ear plugs.
Nick was a great manager. The staff and all of the vacationers were fun and friendly. Everyone enjoyed each other’s company. Weather in the pool or out The walk to the boardwalk was great. We had a great time
Do yourself a favor and do NOT book here. Book your stay at another location because there’s plenty a block over. When I tell you, this was the literal worst hotel I’ve ever been in in my life. I’m not joking. There was big brown spots all over the ceiling as well as brown, running down the walls The bathroom was full of rust from top to bottom The air conditioner had huge gaps around it to the outside and is a window unit The TV is a flat screen, but has a weird old-school cable to it and you get about 10 channels that are blurry That’s if the fuses don’t blow and shut the power off to half the stuff in your room Thankfully, we didn’t spend much time in here and we only slept here But I will never be back I really mean it when I say, I don’t know how this place has not been condemned I’ve never seen anything like it The only props I will give it is the pool seemed pretty clean shockingly But there’s plenty of pools around Wildwood I don’t know who, but someone needs to come shut this place down it’s really unfair that they are charging the type of money they are to stay somewhere like this this day and age.
Where to even begin. From first entering the room I said " THIS ROOM SMELLS LIKE ?!" Then I noticed the T.V on the wall. Looked the same width as the microwave. Seemed to be a cross between a flat screen T.V & an old school 1990's bubble RCA. Was happy to see the remote control came with batteries, however... it did not come with a battery cover. Played hide & go seek with the batteries once or twice. 3 times if you count the time the remote fell on the floor and the batteries went flying. The AC was working. Blowing out cold air . Not cold enough to hide the musty MOLD SMELL. Bathroom ceiling was dirty. Def a tad bit moldy. Around 900$ from Thursday til Sunday check out. Definitely not worth the money. Room service was a " would you like fresh towels and hey, we will change ya garbage if you like?" Biggest let down was the wifi. Have fun trying to set up a computer or a gaming system. My ps5 had 1 bar signal and tried connecting over and over again. Here and there I would get to casually enjoy 10 minutes of a Netflix movie before it kept buffering. The plug sockets were loose with whatever we plugged in. The bedding looked as if it came from the Titanic. The best thing about that motel was driving out of that parking lot and waving ? Only pro about that place to me was this. #1 you can swim any hour of the day. No limit and even if there was... nobody is monitoring. #2 it is almost on the boardwalk. In my honest opinion. Save ya $ and go somewhere else.
Liars and scammers they will literally cancel your reservations so they can relist the hotel room at twice the price a week before the reservation
We just spent a night at this motel. I wasn't expecting it to be a Hilton experience and I was right. The air conditioner sounded like a 747 on the runway. The room was overall clean. However the floor needed a deep cleaning and the ceiling was moldy in places. The bathroom drop ceiling was yellow and brown in the shower. That only works for Cleveland fans, which leaves me out. We checked out a day early because I needed to get some sleep after being woken by the A/C all night. Bring some earplugs along and you'll be fine.
I have never experienced a motel room that was so filthy. MOLD on the walls and around the tub. A full size old noisy rusty refrigerator. Microwave should be thrown out. Very poor reception for the TV. Maid service. None. Stayed 4 nights. Only service I got was towels sitting on the bed each day. I'm done with Wildwood Motels.
BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS!!! Pictures included!!! As a family all we wanted was a place to stay, which was all this place was good for. Rooms were tan down, moldy, and the air conditioning smelt terrible. We checked in on Monday and by Tuesday morning my kids were covered in small red bug bites. Which we were alarmed but it could have been a multitude of things. So we let it go, the following day, which was Wensday we woke up and my kids were even more covered in red bug bites. We immediately checked the children’s bed and found 1 bug that was a perfect match to a bed bug! (Which took 2 mins). We immediately secured the big and taken it to the office. The front desk attendant, who spoke broken English, told us we had brought it and he was a vet technician, so he knew it wasn’t a bed bug. After going back and fourth for 10 mins they denied a refund! I brought my child to the desk attendant and showed my sons covered body, even he was speechless and had nothing to say. Told me we brought the bugs , when indeed we didn’t. We have photos From the day we arrived. No marks no bumps, no bugs. Two days in my kids were covered. We had to find a new hotel, inspect all our belongings and take all our clothes to the laundry Matt. While receiving no refund Stay far away, as a parent I promise you’ll thank me. Hundred of hotels, avoid this one!!!
