The Olympic Island Beach Resort consistently receives positive feedback, particularly praising its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location near the beach and boardwalk. While some guests appreciate the hotel’s relaxed atmosphere and family-friendly amenities, others have expressed concerns about limited entertainment options and dated room features. Recent reviews highlight the responsiveness of management when addressing issues like broken door handles and elevator malfunctions.
Great experience. Our room was big and comfortable. It had a couch, full size refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, everything you'd need for cooking, including pots, pans and dishes and silverware. Very clean. Just a little walk to the beach. Had several options for breakfast within walking distance. Service was very kind and helpful. Reasonable price with small discount for paying with cash. Very happy we stayed here.
The parking is terrible. Do not go into the garage unless you have a small car you will not be able to exit easily. Also the normal spots are extremely small. They have a ton of cameras everywhere so watch what you do very carefully. You can not play music unless you are using head phones. They have big signs everywhere with lots of rules. The room isn't bad its decent sized and the beds aren't to bad. Also had a nice fridge. The microwave was really small and slid everywhere when you used it. The stove top is really out dated. The bathroom was very out dated also. It had no fan and six people are permitted to use the room. The pool wasnt the cleanest and is a little damaged. Its an okay and you can deal with it for a small stay but it's not great.
Our first visit to the Olympic Island Beach Resort was a delightful experience from the moment we arrived. The staff at the front desk greeted us warmly, setting a positive tone for our stay. Upon receiving our room key, we discovered that the door handle was broken. However, after promptly notifying the front desk, they swiftly resolved the issue, showcasing their commitment to excellent service. Although our room was on the smaller side due to our budget constraints, it proved to be cozy and sufficiently accommodating for the two of us. While we faced the bustling city rather than the tranquil beach, the vibrant urban view provided its own charm. Unfortunately, on our last day, the elevator encountered a malfunction, which was a minor inconvenience. Also worth noting is that we were without a “Do Not Disturb” sign or any indication for housekeeping, which required us to navigate around that detail during our stay. On a bright note, a lovely coffee shop was conveniently located next door, and below us was a charming diner that added to the local flavor. Plus, being right on the beachfront allowed for easy strolls along the shore. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would rate our experience a 4.5/10. We are eagerly looking forward to returning soon! Also love the no-smoking policy.
Arrived July 14 and given a suite on third floor it was an ok room but we wanted oceanfront. Went down to office and asked if the had any oceanfront they where extremely accommodating and gave my sister and I a new room looking at the ocean, we were very happy. Everyone was friendly and accommodating the rooms were spotless and comfortable the restaurant downstairs had a fabulous breakfast I would highly recommend the Olympic Island Beach Resort !!!!
Our Home Away from Home! We've been coming to Olympic Beach Resort every year for the past 10 years, and it truly feels like our home away from home. This is such a family-friendly hotel! Dave is absolutely amazing — he knows my family by name, and always makes us feel welcome. The cleaning staff works incredibly hard to keep the rooms and common areas spotless. I really appreciate the no smoking and no music policy by the pool — it helps keep the environment relaxing for everyone. (It only takes one person to ruin it for others — glad to see the rules are respected now!) The location is perfect: a beautiful beach view, a great pool for both kids and adults, and two grills available for use. Every room has a kitchenette, which gives you the option to cook your own meals, or dine at the restaurant located right below the resort. Plus, it’s within walking distance to the boardwalk! Olympic Beach Resort is the perfect spot for a quick family getaway — we look forward to it every year!
We’ve been staying at the Olympic for the past two years now for our family vacations, Oktoberfest, and a few quick getaways—and it’s truly become our home away from home. Dave is always so welcoming and friendly at check-in. It means a lot that he remembers us—plus, he runs things super efficiently. The housekeeping staff also deserve a shoutout—they do a fantastic job, and you can smell it’s been thoroughly cleaned before check in. We love relaxing by the pool—it’s family-oriented but still quiet at night, which is perfect for us. The location can’t be beat: just a short walk to the beach, and we really appreciate the cash rate they offer. The Olympic Restaurant is also a gem—great food and friendly service every time. All around, a fantastic stay in the Crest. We’re so glad we found this spot!
My first time here. For such a reasonable price I wasn't sure what to expect. The management is excellent. The rooms are well kept. The cleaning staff are very kind. All the other guests were very kind as well. The view of the ocean was picture perfect. And to add, the restaurant staff are top notch. I truly appreciate the fact that they don't allow radios to be played by the pool and don't allow smoking on the balcony, and I'm a smoker. It was perfect for me and my wife.
We stayed here with our kids last week. Room was clean, smelled clean, and next to the pool. This was very convenient, as the kids liked the pool and the beach is right there. There was very little "loud" music playing which is a plus since other hotels had nasty blaring music. Although all linens were very clean, the bed was not that comfortable. AC was cold but loud due to unit being vented to outside front door. Bathroom was dated with a door that needed a new handle and toilet was kind of slow to flush. There was no coffee table but room for one. Speaking of coffee, there was a coffee maker hidden in the cabinet, but you need the filters and actual coffee to use. Suggestion - add Keurig machine in the rooms (they are fairly inexpensive on Amazon) or have coffee in the lobby. I can't afford a $4.00 coffee in the restaurant every day. :) Parking was all good and I was able to find a spot each day, even during a very, very busy week for this hotel. Other patrons seemed courteous. All in all, there are many hotels around Wildwood, but I think we'll be back.
I was really looking forward to a relaxing beach vacation, but this hotel totally missed the mark. For a place right by the beach, you'd expect a fun, lively atmosphere-especially some music or entertainment to enjoy while lounging or dining. Instead, they don't allow any music, even at a reasonable volume. It felt unnecessarily strict and took a lot of the joy out of the trip. The setting is beautiful, but what's the point if you can't even play soft music on a speaker without being told to turn it off? Not ideal for people looking for a social or vibrant beach experience. If you're looking for peace and quiet to the extreme, maybe this is for you. But if you're hoping for even a little bit of a fun beach vibe, l'd look elsewhere
Stayed summer of 2024 and absolutely enjoyed our stay. Room was simple, nice and clean. I liked that there was a full size fridge and a separate bedroom. The bathroom could use a few extra hooks for towels and whatnot. Check in was easy and everyone was super nice. They have a cart to assist you in getting your bags to the room and an elevator. Parking was easy too. Overall, very nice stay.
