The Monaco Motel is located in a convenient spot near the boardwalk and offers reasonable pricing, particularly during the off-season. However, recent reviews indicate significant issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and security, alongside inconsistent service. While some guests appreciate the location and management, many have reported unacceptable conditions like bed bugs, stained bedding, and a generally rundown appearance.

Manisha at the front is super kind and very informative. We asked for places to eat and go hang out for the night. The room was cozy and right next to the beach.

I had a very pleasant stay at this motel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the check-in process very easy. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I really appreciated the good service and hospitality. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay. Thank you for the great experience!

I went here 2 years in a row, 2024,25 season. I paid around $500.00 in 24. While you are close to the boardwalk the rooms are not great at all. Beds hard, wall sockets are loose, no pool, had a stove that didn't work. I was ok with that. i called in 25 to go back and asked for the same exact room, and it was available. I was like cool, but when i heard the price $900 plus, i was like wow. Why so much? The manager told me it was under new management and they had improved on the property. I told him what me experience was in 24 , and he insured me that all the rooms were upgraded. Well when i got to the same room nothing and i mean nothing was new. In fact the only things that was new was the price hike and they removed the stove that never worked in the first place. Tiolet seat is low to the floor also. And now i see the prices are going up in thie place for the 26 season, don't expect anything new go somewhere else.

This place is falling apart. Switched 4 different rooms because of windows busted out, electrical outlets burned, and cigarette smell. Last room had bed bugs. Owners and reception didn’t care and refused a refund.

Location is great it’s off-season so now it’s the time they need to do repairs. The TV only got one channel. The heat was on high and you couldn’t turn it down. There was no hot water. They ended up changing my room, but the lock was not secure so I had to put the table in front of the door. I hope they make the repairs.

No complaints! The owner made sure I was happy and comfortable, only a call away. Close to boardwalk, (very close!) very clean & up to date. I would come back again -

I have two good things to say about the Monaco Motel. The people at the front desk were incredibly nice, and it's literally just a few steps from the boardwalk. Beyond that though, there's nothing good. The hotel is extremely dated, obviously built during Wildwood's heyday during the 1950s, but the charm from a distance gives way as you get up close. First, the parking is nearly non-existent. There's a small handful of spots in front of the building, but they're taken up by vehicles owned by the motel or its staff. Then, as you make your way to your room, you pass by garbage cans overloaded with trash. The railing to the 2nd floor is wobbling, with its feet moving in the crumbling concrete of the building. The doors have large gaps between jamb and the edge of the door, allowing light, sound, and wind in, the screens in the two small windows in the back were torn and flying bugs could get in through the louvre windows which weren't quite shut but the handles were painted over so you couldn't move them. The rooms aren't just outdated, they're antiquated, and the bathroom is so small there's literally no room to stand at the sink in the morning to brush your teeth because you'll trip over the toilet. Everything that could be painted over was - from the hinges in the door, which made it difficult to open and close, to the tiles in the ceiling. There was no in-room telephone, and even if there were, there's no front desk service after 11pm. This makes things even more worrying, when you realize that the security chain on the door was only half there, the part that attaches to the door having been ripped off at some point. It certainly doesn't feel safe - especially with reports that the keys actually open every room, and not just your own. On checking the bed, the first thing I saw was a reddish-brown stain (see photo) Was it blood, ketchup, or something else? I don't know, but it was there and certainly shouldn't have been. The ceiling looked like it had mold growing on it, and the furniture wasn't just mismatched, it was cheap and beaten up with scratches all over. I will absolutely never stay at this motel again.

hotel is right on the boardwalk but it is outdated.no chairs or tables in the rooms, dirty ,our fridge leaked water all over the floor. did not see any bugs but there was a smell like mold. this hotel is pet friendly. no hooks or tables to put anything ,only a dresser. you have to double park your car and give the key to the desk. the staff is friendly. this is a low budget hotel and ok for a weekend if you don't mind slumming.

This motel is run by such a kind family. The lady was especially good to us and was a pleasure to deal with. Our motel room was spotless and the location could not have been better. I can't wait to go back!
