I think a lot of the recent changes to this hotel are just cosmetic. New carpet, paint, and upgraded furniture in the rooms look nice, but in a lot of areas, they just covered up the worn out floor...

Apathetic Beach Party
The Mahalo is not a bad place, but it is another old motel that was polished up by Icona and then tripled in price. The rooms are clean and decent but very modest in size. The location is very good...
