Located just steps from the Wildwood boardwalk, the property offers modern, spacious rooms and friendly service. However, recent reviews indicate significant cleanliness and maintenance issues, particularly in off-season conditions.
So thankful to have gotten to stay here! My husband and I came to Cape May for the first time on our anniversary! We appreciated that the room was clean, modern, the heater/air con worked efficiently, and the TV had cable! Would definitely stay here again!
Although there was nobody there to receive us at the front desk, I just had to call and I was told to pick up our room key cards from the mailbox outside. We found them and took the elevator and moved into our room which was very nice. After about ten minutes someone arrived to chekc us in officially and told us we were one of two guest parties that were going to be spending Christmas Eve at the hotel. We also checked out in the morning by ourselves and it appears that all was well. To be clear the whole town was pretty much abandoned for the holidays. I guess this new AI-run world is ok after all...
While entering our room the door wouldn’t shut. We noticed the hinge was completely broke off and we had to lift the door up to close each time. The bathroom had some rust from the curtains and so did some of the channel for the wall ceilings. The chair and ottoman was stained and I wouldn’t suggest sitting in it. We noticed the back door to the stairwell on the opposite end of the hotel was wide open and didn’t shut. Absolutely no security within the building. The concern escalated when we heard someone running in the front of the building at 3am with police chasing him. Police and EMT crew were in front of the building for quite awhile. Kept thinking of the wide open door to the back of the building. The next morning the shower curtain broke and woke us up at 6am. Things happen. Then at 8am we were woken up by a knock at the dock to see where we parked our car because a truck was blocking a guests car? My wife was not happy being woke up. Parking is awful at the hotel. This will be an ongoing occurrence. Usually don’t write reviews but this stay was sure interesting. Rooms were also very loud. Could hear everything.
Maybe the key is to go during peak season. Off season was not the best. The hotel has a bunch of huge piles of concrete by where you go to Park under the hotel. There was no manager on duty. They have a sign up to call. The hotel room was dirty when we stayed. Hair in shower. The door looked like it was kicked in. Had a horrible smell when we came in. It improved slightly when turned air on. The bed was hard as a rock. The wall in the bathroom had mold growing on the wall I assume it lead to the smell in the room. There is no disclaimer that the breakfast is only during peak season. It was a great location and able to walk to the pier and beach. For the price it is not the worst but I would not describe it as all the photos listed. It did have a lot of amenities like a fridge, microwave, iron, and safe.
Third time staying here. Staff was very nice. The first day there all four of us got locked INTO our room! The door was unlocked but the inside handle would not engage the lock. We went to room phone to call desk but the phone did not work so we called from our cell phone. They came up right away and got us out and it didn't happen again! Pool was very clean and warm. I do understand thst they need to hold car keys or guests due to parking situation but we had to wait about 10 minutes as no one was there. There was a phone number to call for assistance. She came and gave us our keys but the we had to wait about another 10 minutes to wait for staff to move the car in front of us. Thankfully we were not in an extreme hurry. Beds were super low to the ground which they haven't been the last two times. No blankets just a sheet and a very thin blanket. The fire panel was in trouble mode beeping for over 24 hours in the lobby. No one ever cleaned our room. I had to go down and ask for more towels and toliet paper. We stayed for 3 and a half days. Little mishaps this time but we will be back again next year for firemans convention!
Probably typical of all motels around the area but the rooms all smell heavily of chlorine that mask an underlying musk of mildew. The window AC unit is an older model so it’s loud, woke up our kid at night. Parking is convenient and it’s super close to the boardwalk so weigh the trade offs.
First off when first got to hotel didn’t seem bad. As stay went on it got worse. Around 4am was woke up to the ceiling leaking and being rained on. This was in room 308. Went down to front desk. Had to wake the worker up. I told him what was going on. He asked what did I want him to do. I told him I needed a new room. He got rude and told me I guess and gave me room across the hall. The next day went down to speak to management. Was told that he would give me a 25 percent discount. Which still haven’t seen. As we was leaving seen someone come out of 308 with all there stuff and asked if they got rained on too? She said and when she told front desk they commented back again. Warning don’t stay in 308!
Very beautiful rooms, will kept. Just right size beautiful bathroom. Perfect location. But God has to stop making the beach so long. Right in the good spot of t the boardwalk. Hotel offers muffins for breakfast and coffee and tea all day. Pool is a smaller but very well kept. We will return for sure!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week. Location is perfect for the beach and boardwalk, and within reasonable walking distance for a lot of restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful—I called a week before to inquire the amenities and the gentleman on the phone was very pleasant! Room was also clean and secure. However, there was clearly some maintenance work going on the week of our stay that wasn't disclosed. My boyfriend and I were woken up most mornings before 8 am from either electric tools or stomping on the floor above us. We could hear stomping all hours of the day/night, whether it was 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon. It didn't ruin our stay, but I would've appreciated a heads up so we could bring earplugs. The curtains on the shower also weren't long enough to block the water from soaking the bathroom floor. We're assuming something happened to the door (like what's shown on the website) because we could see evidence one used to be installed. However, the front desk gave us extra towels, which we used as floor mats and that caught most of the water ? Parking was also not ideal. Their main parking lot is strictly valet. Thankfully we were given the option of street parking, which made our trips out of town much easier. Overall, not a bad place for the price. Location and cleanliness outweigh the cons, in my opinion. I would definitely consider staying here again. I think more transparency would be a great benefit to both the staff and guests.
6/12/25 * Excellent customer service from booking through check-out. Convenient location, walking distance to the Convention center. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Kylie went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and fresh. It is definitely my new spot in Wildwood.
