I booked this stay through Expedia because there was a self check-in option as no one is at the front desk after 8 pm. After filling out their self check-in form they requested text confirmation too. After messaging Birds of Paradise multiple times the day of check in on Expedia and through text asking when I would receive instructions on how to check in I was asked by their staff what I was doing, where I was, and why I would be checking in late. After I said I'd be there at 12:30 am I received a text message at 10 pm saying my ground floor door was unlocked on a Saturday night with the keys inside. To say the very least, that is not a self check in. I contacted Expedia immediately requesting a full refund and they said it is up to Bird of Paradise's discretion. After explaining that this is a safety issue with a ground floor room unlocked with no one on the property for hours Expedia offered no other help. After speaking with four different agents over the course of text and phone calls for three and a half hours it is now a full week later and I still have not received a refund. I was left with no where to go at 2 am because both Birds of Paradise and Expedia do not care about the safety of their customers in the slightest and will do nothing to help when something is disturbingly wrong. Don't waste your time, effort, or money on this motel or with Expedia's lack of tact and suffer the way I have. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy, just everyone who was no help.

Make no mistake, it's not nice. But it's a good location a block from the first pier with rides, more reasonable price than other places, and good enough. Tile floors are a plus over gross carpets. If you are the type of person who freaks out over finding a hair in your room or a random old stain on a wall don't go. If you just want a bed to sleep in since you don't plan on being in your room much while at beach and boardwalk it's adequate. And it was a great view for Friday night fireworks.

This is our second stay here and both times have been a pleasant experience, the location is deal, the manager/staff is super responsive we had a very small issue our first night with our toilet they were out within 20 minutes fixed it and went on their way! The pool is clean and warm, we will definitely be back! Every person we encountered from owner, staff, maid service were all very respectful!

We booked here to stay three nights. When we attempted to extend to a fourth night (months in advance) our calls were sent straight to an answering service, which never got us to an actual person. We had to text and even still, our reservation never got extended. When we arrived for our vacation, there was no parking available. Management had us park in an alleyway and then immediately blocked us in with the next guest that arrived. This was not only extremely inconvenient for us, but dangerous as well. When we asked management for assistance with getting our car out, they just dismissed us. Thankfully when we approached the other guest ourselves, they were more than friendly and helped us out. The room was bare-bones basic and not the cleanest, but not disgusting.

I would not recommend here, the bathroom was dirty, opened the shower and black stuff came out the drain, there were dead bugs in the room and other insects crawling on the wall, there’s no ice machine in the motel you have to walk up the street to the other one to get ice, towels had a weird smell and stains, pool looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a while, no house keeping service. Very run down.

Yeah, the first time and stay there for 3 night for memorial day. It's pretty cool, the management Pretty nice in the front desk was really helpful.

Great place came here from Kentucky check it was painless and easy. Sunny is a really cool person he is really funny. Super friendly too. We were here for firemen’s weekend and got to enjoy the company of a few firefighters/first responders. Definitely will stay again this is perfect!!

I absolutely loved it here! The manager Sunny was awesome the whole time! He always responded and was absolutely pleasant! I'm definitely going back next year! The room was clean, nice pool with a baby pool! Music at the pool! They even have a kitchenette! What more could you ask for! Literally minutes from the boardwalk at Moreys pier! Uuggh I didn't want to leave! Thank you for everything! Very accommodating! I stayed here the first 2 days then their second hotel in my 3rd day! Sunny was just absolutely pleasant and so very patient with me! I truly needed this getaway and I will be staying with them for now on! Definitely going back!

I would not recommend this hotel! I have never in my life seen an owner who does not want to take your money! I've tried to make a reservation since Mother's Day of 2025. Constantly calling them with no answer. They send you a text asking what you need and they still dont respond.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. This place is absolutely disgusting. We are not familiar with wildwood and this is was awful coming into. There was a literal hole in our wall, a mold all around the room.
