Traveling with my 6 year old on limited funds. Switched from the royal court because the manager was NEVER in the office. Found a cellophane containing a stench of Marijuana, along with trash nearly behind every piece of furniture. I came across this hotel, last minute at a great price. Not only did they allow us to park there for 3 hours before check in, so we could visit the beach, but they were super patient and kind with us checking out. We were over an hour late checking out. With the heat, a child, and unwell health.. we were so behind on schedule. Extremely grateful and blessed ? will absolutely keep this location on my list for future visits!

We had a very pleasant stay at the EL Ray motel. The older man worker was very kind and helpful. The room was a good size but the bathroom was very small. And although we were told no smoking on the property I consistently seen people on the pool deck smoking weed. Other than the consent smell of marijuana our stay was fine!!!! Super close to the board walk. Family dollar in walking distance as well as a playground.

The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, and everything you need. Room are clean, kitchen is very particle. The owners are very kind, friendly, and always available if you need anything. My family and I absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back!

3 minute walk to boardwalk and that’s the only good thing. We knew we’d be staying for only a night so we went cheap. NEVER AGAIN. Bedbugs, mold, improper door locks that were extremely loose, uncomfortable furniture in rooms. No smoking on property which is reasonable, however management was rude about the question when asked upon checking in. No vent in our bathroom, dirty surfaces. Not much of a warm, welcoming environment. And it’s non-refundable. Disgusting experience ever. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We recently stayed here for a family vacation. I want to start by saying that the owner was extremely kind, attentive, and responsive throughout our stay. He was by far the best part of our experience and genuinely seemed to care about his guests. Unfortunately, despite his kindness, I cannot recommend this property. The views from both the main balcony and our private balcony were beautiful, and the air conditioning worked very well. Having a refrigerator, freezer, and stovetop available was also convenient, although instructions for operating the stovetop would have been helpful. While the room initially appeared clean, there were several issues that quickly became apparent. The floors were extremely sticky, to the point that I ended up mopping them myself during our stay. The bathroom had a very strong mold odor that was impossible to ignore and made the space unpleasant to use. We also experienced issues with the water. It took a long time to get any cold water, and the water coming from the faucets was extremely hot. The biggest concerns were the maintenance and safety issues throughout the room. Several electrical outlets were damaged and loose. While most still worked, they appeared broken and could be dangerous, especially for families with young children. The bathroom sink was loose and shook when used, one of the window screens was torn out, and there were burn holes in some of the blankets. I noticed that cosmetic improvements, such as fresh paint, appear to be ongoing, which is nice. However, I believe the focus should be on addressing the safety, maintenance, and cleanliness concerns before cosmetic updates. Because of the condition of the room, the mold odor, and the various safety issues, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others, especially families with young children. While the owner was wonderful, the property itself needs significant attention and repairs. P.S. There are no bedbugs in our room. I did a very thorough check. It does seem like some rooms on the other floors had them so just be careful because reading the other review reviews there are photo proof.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this motel. The room was not clean upon arrival, with visible dirt and stains. The bathroom appeared poorly maintained, and several amenities that were advertised were either unavailable or not working. Staff responses to concerns were slow and unhelpful. The overall condition of the property did not match the price charged. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others.

Absolutely awful experience. The room was dirty, smelled strongly like mold, and clearly wasn’t cleaned properly before we arrived. There was even a cigarette burn hole straight through one of the pillows, which was disgusting. The TV didn’t work at all, and when we asked staff for help, they were completely unhelpful and never fixed the issue. The conditions were so bad that we left after maybe 10 minutes because we couldn’t comfortably stay there. On top of that, they offer no refunds no matter how bad the conditions are. Save yourself the money and frustration. Do not waste your time staying here.

This place is absolutely disgusting! We checked in and checked right back out. So dirty!! Has to be the worst motel on the island.

Stayed here July 2020...Good location. Walking distance to boardwalk. That's about all I can say. Dirty, ghetto level motel. Pool experience was wild in a not so good way. No life guard and kids borderline drowning with no parental supervision even. The adjoining restaurant had their glass window and door busted out like someone had just robbed the place. I just went for the weekend to party and basically have a wild couple nights with a new girlfriend. Would not recommend unless you really wanna slum it.

The Room was terrible and smell like old wood and humidity too strong , the lamp was broken and water fall down from the lamp , the curtains had mold and dirty with bad smell . My daughter got sick from the humidity, my advice don't waste your time and money there
