Love this place so glad it's still there ? our vacation spot every August for the first twenty plus summer's of my life. Remember when Pat owned it and then Ed took over the hotel. My family is gone but I hope to get back soon ?

Location is perfect. Pool is always warm. Slide is awesome. Rooms are clean and the staff is the best. 10/10.

Can't beat the location. Very clean. Everything seemed new / recently renovated. Really big living room with nice pull out sofa and giant fridge and well stocked (just BYO shampoo).

I do not like to be a Karen but as Mom I will. The parking here is a nightmare. I book a room and I expect a spot. It was a big problem. People that dont stay at the hotel park there. Its a very tight squeeze. My room had ants in it. The room otherwise was clean and seemed updated compared to other motels here. The office lady was nice. But seems not happy to be there. The beds in the room are super small. The location is amazing if you come for the beach only. The smoking is disgusting. If I did research first I i would have rented at a smoke free place. I assumed it was. My kids have asthma. There were adults in the pool drinking and vaping. One man had glass beer bottles and a cigarette. No one cared. Yuck! Not family oriented at all. When it was time for bed the people nextdoor decided to take their party ouside their door making noise thru most of the night. I was exhausted. Thought no sense to complain as it seems hard to get a person on the phone here. Sadly I was disappointed. This is for young people or people who party and love the beach. Im interested in things for kids only and definitely smoke free. Im scared of fires.I also expect no ants in my room.

I visit Wildwood crest almost every year, I usually stay at the Villanova, but my husband decided to book at the astronaut motel this year! The room was absolutely disgusting! The service sucked and I say this because I went to the office to ask for fresh towels and this guy responded with "you gotta ask your girl" I guess he meant the girl who was scheduled to clean our room, which we opted out of since it wouldn't have made a difference! So we never got our clean towels because I didn't know who "the girl" was!!! Also the day we were leaving, we saw some rooms being cleaned and they were much better than our room and updated! So, we will never return to this place and if you happen to stay here and you get room 216, RUN!!!

10/10 would stay here again! very clean rooms, accommodating to our handicap accessible needs, staff was very friendly and welcoming. great location right on the beach with a nice pool!

Very pleasant experience. It is a motel, so you get what you pay for. Sheets are stained but the bed was pretty comfortable with plenty of blankets/towels/ sheets. There is a microwave and fridge; along with plates/kitchenware. There were many amenities and free parking for ONE car. Pool and proximity to the beach were fantastic.

We’ve been coming here for decades. It is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the Jersey shore without all the mess of other locations. It’s quiet and the staff treats everyone like family. Jackie goes above and beyond to make sure everything is on point. She has made every trip a great experience and it is a pleasure to plan our trips with her.

Another year in the books! 15th year for me and 48th year for my hubby, all at the Astronaut Motel. With Ed's retirement we were not sure what to expect, change is not always easy. Wow! Jackie is AMAZING. She is a hard worker and really cares about the families that visit the Astronaut. She has added many lovely little touches which I just adored. She has been part of the Astronaut family for quite some time now but she has stepped into her new position without missing a beat. She goes above and beyond to make sure the rooms are clean and your family has everything you need. If you are looking for family friendly place to stay that is steps away from the beach, the Astronaut is your place. You'll be welcomed by Jackie and her staff and feel right at home. We will see you in 2025!

I booked three rooms for nights , Jacky i think the manager manager, she said only 2 rooms available for 3 nights and the 3rd one we have to switch next day and we agreed over the phone. But when we arrived she told us that we have to swatch the three rooms and non of them booked for three night b ,and when we complained she became so nasty and her cleaning workers as well , I don't know why they involved in the office at all .at the end she told us if you don't like the room go somewhere ells .
